Reunited at last – American TV producer finally hugs her daughter, 13, after British father thwarted her court-ordered visit for 23 days and was even accused of locking them out in their pajamas

  • American Dawn Willson arrived in Spain to pick up her daughter and bring her back to North Carolina for Christmas vacation
  • Despite the court-ordered visitation, Raquel ‘Rocky’ Willson, 13, was not produced by her father
  • This was the 13th time in ten years Dawn’s ex-husband, Alex Willson, a British citizen, kept his daughter from her mother, she claims
  • Dawn says Willson tricked her into a trip to Spain a decade ago and then refused to let her bring Rocky back to America
  • The parents have shared custody but a Spanish court ordered that the daughter must remain in Spain when she’s not visiting her mom in US
  • Police and the court had ordered the father to allow her spend time with her mother but he failed to comply for 23 days

El diario británico Dailymail publica en reencuentro entre la productora americana y su hija de 13 años en Mojácar (Almería)

El diario británico Dailymail se hace eco del caso de familia internacional denunciado reiteradamente ante las autoridades españolas por una ciudadana americana que ve vulnerados de forma continua y reiterada sus derechos de visitas respectos de su hija de 13 años de edad.

La letrada de este despacho María Dolores Hernández Ruiz quien representa a dicha ciudadana americana, comunicó al medio de comunicación británico el estado de las actuaciones procesales pendientes así como las acciones civiles y penales interpuestas por dicha letrada durante las pasadas semanas a fin de garantizar el cumplimiento de los derechos de visitas y comunicaciones, siendo afortunadamente conseguido el encuentro entre madre e hija la pasada semana.

International Child Abduction Law One of the Most Interesting Issues of the First Congress of International Law in Murcia which NH Lawyers Firm took part in.

Lawyers from different countries of the European Union and South America met at Moneo Buidling in Murcia Town last week to discuss some practical aspects of the most current issues of International Private Law.

One of the most interesting issues discussed was the International Child Abduction Law of the Hague Convention that applies to the 88 Countries which are party of the Convention. The treaty was drafted to ensure the quick return of children who have been abducted from their country of habitual residence. That Convention provides to all the contracting states the legal proceedings to return the children back to their habitual resident country in a maximum time of six weeks since the time of the beginning of the process. United Kingdom is one the countries that apply with efficiency that treaty and Spain is one of the less efficient countries in the application of that law.

Carolina Marín from Dawnson Corwell and Dennis Beuthner among other colleagues were some of the speakers of the Congress.
